What did he Preach?

The gospel that Jesus brought with him as his worldly mission was mainly that the Kingdom of God is near and for people to be aware..He came to tell people to welcome God into their lives .At a time when people were so involved with ritualism, Jesus showed them that Loving God was not all about waiting in queues, fulfilling vows, saying elaborate long impressive prayers or even making sure to sit in the first row in the synagogue. It was a matter of the heart. The ten commandments showed people what was required outwardly for a disciplined life and Jesus took it further into their mindsets. Not committing adultery was not enough one needs to be chaste in the mind as well. It is important not to be angry. His most spoken about sermons, the sermon on the mount or even referred to as the Beatitudes speaks of meekness, peacemaking, mercy, rightful living.

Jesus spoke of self-control, patience, and goodness. He discouraged people from retaliating to evil but asked them to show love even in the face of hate,It was always Love. To him love encompassed everything and all goodness is in love. He practiced all that he preached and in that he personified Love.

.In saying that the Kingdom Of God is in fact in us (Luke 17:21) he was showing people their own divinity. He was telling them that theirs is a heritage they lost by disobedience to the Divine. They are actually God’s own but with Adam’s fall ( In way of materialism ), the whole mankind lost their heritage and now they need to rediscover it.To do so one must accept Divine ways. We are in constant rebellion with God thus adding more to our own lives. All of Jesus’s ways showed humble acceptance, right from showing the right cheek, giving even the cloak to one who wants the jacket to doing good to those who do evil. In other words one must at no cost react especially in a manner that takes away the peace of God. This is Love and in showing Love we are getting closer to Divine for Love is the Divine Force.. The more involved we are with this world and its materialism the further we get from the Divine . He always advocated the use of scripture for edification.
