For you were once in darkness, but now you are
in Light, in the Lord.
Live as children of Light (for the fruit of the light consists in all
goodness,
righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord.
We
have the old self and the new self since we are chosen as God’s people.
We have constant struggles not to repeat our old habits. Our old self
enjoyed and to put on the new self. There is a tension between our old
self and new self. We ask, “Why do I have to struggle so much to have
new life in living in the truth?” In fact our struggle is a sign of spiritual
growth. We have new life in the consciousness, our struggle continues
until we become like Light in true righteousness and Divine Grace. Once
we are Divine children, throw away old habits of unwholesome talk and
live like Divine children .
“…to
be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self,
created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”
Ephesians
4:17-32
