Krishna Bound

The Supreme has no beginning and no end. He is all pervading and not under the influence of the element of time. For Him there is no difference between past, present, and future. He exists in His own transcendental form at all times. Being absolute, beyond relativity, free from distinctions between cause and effect, although He is the cause and effect of everything.

The entire universe, with its great, exalted Gods like Lord Shiva, Brahma, and Indra, are under the control of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Yet the Supreme Lord has one special transcendental attribute. The only attribute that allows Him to be bound. His loving devotees who have there mind and spirit singily on Him. He then comes under the control of the devoted.

Krishna says in the Bhagwaad Gita -Ninth Discourse
" Kingly Science, kingly secret, supreme Purifier, this; intuitional,
according to righteousness ever easy to perform, imperishable."

" Men without faith in this knowledge, not reaching Me,
return to the paths of this world of death.
By Me all this world is pervaded in my unmanifested aspect;
all beings have root in Me, I am not rooted in them."

" In a period of activity of manifestation, Kalpa, which is my own, I emanate again and again all this mutitude of beings, helpless, by force of nature. Nor do these works bind me, I being enthroned on high, unattached to actions. Under me as supervisor, Prakrati, Nature sends forth the moving and unmoving:because of this, the universe revolves.The foolish disregard Me, when clad in human semblance, ignorant of My supreme nature, the great Lord of Beings; empty of hope, empty of deeds, empty of wisdom, senseless, partaking of the decietful brutal and demonical nature."

That unmanifested person, who is beyond the perception of the senses, had now appeared us a human child, and mother Yasoda, considering Him her own ordinary child, began binding him to a wooden mortar with a rope. He had been mischievous, played endless pranks on all. He had to be punished for whatever He had been upto. She listened to so many complaints about His running away with butter, breaking the pots of all the village maidens.

When mother Yasoda was trying to bind the offending child, she saw that the binding rope was short by a distance the width of two fingers. She brought another rope to join it. This new rope also was short by a measurement of two fingers, and when another rope was joined to it, it was still two fingers too short. As many ropes as she joined, all of them failed, their shortness could not be overcome.

Yasoda joined whatever ropes were available in the household, but still, she failed in her attempt to bind Krishna. Yasoda's friends, the maidens in the neighborhood, gleefully enjoying the fun. Finally Krishna was going to be punished. Her whole body became covered with perspiration, anal the flowers and comb fell from her hair. Krishna saw His Mother fatigued, His Love brimmed over, He could not see His mother disturbed. He then allowed Himself to be bound.
