Aging

What would the world look like with a large population of people, say, in their 100s? Would people
live longer and healthier lives? Is aging a disease that modern medicine must cure? Or are there,
Alternate Therapies which are in our genetic code memory that will unfold with our evolution?

In their Search for the Fountain of Youth have found:
A tiny worm has some surprises. Genes found in this simple organism that indirectly regulate hormones connected to aging; further, these genes are also found in flies, yeast, and possibly human. If one can switch them off, one may have found a key to slowing the aging process. The studies of telomeres, the tiny sequences of repetitive DNA at the end of our chromosomes. Each time a cell divides, another segment of the telomere falls off until the cell stops dividing or doing its work (most cells divide 60 times). Studies on telomeres may lead
to clues of how the whole body ages

Environmental stress and oxidation

Cells can run on a variety of "fuels," including sugars, fats and protein. A chemical reaction called oxidation occurs every time mitochondria, the energy factories of cells, metabolize fuel. Problems are caused by these "oxygen free radicals," also known as "oxidants," accumulate over time in the body, slowing cell functioning and causing aging. Oxidants play major roles in inflammation, heart attacks and probably cancer, too. Oxidation is a normal by product of living. And stressing cells further with alcohol, tobacco and pollutants just worsens the situation. However, research has not resulted in a bona fide cure for aging.

Chi Kung can even turn back our aging clock!

The Ancient Chinese holistic therapy of Chi Kung says: The structure of a person's DNA changes when he is sick, but it reverts to its former structure when he recovers. By passing an electromagnetic flow along an injured tissue or organ, they can speed up its regeneration or recovery. Harmonious flow of energy in our bodies helps to realign our DNA structure to its proper pattern, thus preventing illness as well as eliminating damage to the DNA, resulting in health and youthfulness.

Failure of the immune system causes diseases and aging. Cross-linking of body tissues is another major cause of aging. It occurs when large molecules in our bodies build undesirable chemical across one another, causing damage like hardened arteries,
wrinkled skin and disturbed DNA structure.

But when we let CHI (vital energy) flow harmoniously in our bodies, our stream of energy will smooth out the initial bonds, thus preventing the undesirable bridges from developing. Diseases and aging reduces the quality and quantity of life immediately `One need not fear age if one's spine is still erect. A person is old if at thirty his spine is bent; whereas at sixty is still young, if not bent. The spine carries important networks of nerves to various parts of the body. Practicing this exercise keeps our spines strong, supple and erect.

Pushing Mountains with Cosmos Palm: The Cosmos Palm is an exercise. Three factors are necessary,
sufficient energy stored at the abdomen, the ability to channel this energy to the hand when it is needed, and a covering of energy around the palm to protect it.
