The Subconscious
Our autonomic system is in the subconscious.

Imagine if we had to think and remind ourself to breathe or make our heart beat. It is because of this we don't have to think. This is automatically taken care of by our subconscious. For our benefit everything that is done, originates here. There are many other things done for us.

Our nervous system is bombarded by 60,000 stimuli per second all our lives. In one minute we receive 3,600,000! What would happen if all that stimuli floods our conscious minds. Our conscious mind can only cope and be be aware of five to seven pieces of information at a time. It can only handle one thing at a time.

Emotions and the imagination reside in the subconscious. Emotion is of the subconscious while imagination is the language. Habits are those repetitive behaviors that you do "without thinking." Thinking is a function of the conscious; everything else is in the subconscious. A habit is usually eliminated by replacing it with another. Some habits are easier to eliminate than others and if they are firmly held in the subconscious it may require finding the causes and removing them.

All the information receives is absorbed through the senses as true and real. If emotions are in conflict, the dominating emotion wins out over the weaker. Imagination wins out over will power, emotions win over logic and therefore the subconscious wins over the conscious mind.

The subconscious doesn't "think" it "reacts".
Reality and
unreality cannot be distinguished.
The subconscious can be our master or our greatest
ally in our quest for success and self-improvement.
