Babaji has recommended the reading and study of the BhagavadGita
before becoming initiated. He teaches an ideal of being pure in
all sphere of life that is, disciplined, honest, and sincere. Meditation
and Kriya practices help in the dissolution of the mind so one may
have a direct experience of the Eternal Self. " He advocates
a life of renunciation of the ego and attachment. When the mind
is turned inward it becomes the self; when it is turned outward
it becomes ego. He teaches to destroy the ego and be happy forever.
He has said the first problem is ego. Solve that and all other problems
will be solved thereafter. If we want to be free, we must learn
to love and forgive under all circumstances. We must not hold a
grudge against anybody. When realized, we see everyone else as realized
and as a manifestation of God and strive for balance physically,
psychologically, and spiritually.
