The Great Angel of the "Second Ray "
of Love and Wisdom.

The highest order of God's Angelic Servants, beings of pure light, angels of love, gaurdians to keep negative energy from getting through to divinity. They shine so brilliantly with cosmic light that humans cannot see them. Beyond the Divine throne are the cherubim. They are pure electron light and they are the Guardians of Light, and of the stars. Remote from our plane of reality and dimension, their light touches our lives, the divine light that they filters down from Heaven.

Angels of Harmony and Wisdom, of boundless love, knowledge.
From their subtle emanations of love and wisdom they
are the great teachers of knowledge.

Guardians of the light and the stars, channellers of positive energy from the Divine. They function as personal guardians, guarding religious temples and keeping the sanctuary purified. They are guidance for divine protection, knowledge and wisdom.

Metratron is devoted to the Divine Will and to do God's work. Thus as the teacher to humanity he places himself at the feet of the student. Metratron as a teacher acknowledges and is grateful for this opportunity to teach, to share the Divine knowledge and wisdom. The student sits exalted and the teacher bows in reverence, in gratitude. That is the functioning of Second Ray .

The Second Ray helps humanity to look at wisdom from the perspective of love. Looking at wisdom from this perspective, one embraces ignorance too. Awareness that one is ignorant and proud to be so, fires the quest for wisdom. It then urges you to accept, Growth, expansion, evolution.

Metatron has also been identified as the Liberating Angel.

In the world of Jewish mystics, came to hold the rank of the highest of the angels despite his not being mentioned in the Scriptures. The meaning of his name has never been satisfactorily explained although one interpretation of it is "one who occupies the throne next to the Divine throne.

In a number of traditional sources, Metatron is said to have been the prophet Enoch, who was taken up to Heaven and transformed into an angel of fire, with thirty-six pairs of wings, to continue his days as a celestial scribe.

In certain schools of mysticism, Metatron, said to be the tallest of all the heavenly beings, became known as Lesser YHWH. In Hebrew, the letters 'YHWH' stand for the most sacred name of God. As God has many names, so, too, Metatron was thought to have many names, the use was believed to offer the user protection and access to this great angel's powers. Yahoel, Yofiel, Surya, and Lad are just a few of his other names.
